July 4th Roundup

Ah, July 4th,

Is there any better way to spend this holiday than in the state with the LARGEST fireworks display this side of the Mississippi?! (Yes, I sang the song to spell Mississippi).

We arrived in Idaho that weekend, on Friday Night. We watched a movie, and ate food, and that was about it.

The next day however, we took a trip to Alpine to get some legally questionable fire related paraphernalia. And to visit a playground with a big slide. (It is sad that at my age I am more excited over a large slide than burning and exploding things.)

It also had very odd....monkey bar contraptions? And large Teeter-Totters too!

We of course had to pay a visit to the Herren Bears. (For those of you not German language savvy, Herren means Gentleman.)

Oh my! Who is that peaking out from behind there.

Oh Bryttan! You're such a Ham. (I owe my mother credit for giving me such a word as Ham to use in this context.)

Now for something rated PG!
I hope parents that you guided your children. And informed them that they will never ever in their entire lives be even remotely close to as cute as we are. Take that children. Hopes. Broken. Dreams. Lost.

That night!

We got back and went to some soccer fields to watch the big great amazing wonderful large fireworks.

Look up there Bryttan! A Firework!
And scary child with glowing green eyes, you're alright by me.

This next image has been altered as if there is too much cuteness on this blog some readers may simply give up on themselves. We have blurred it slightly for this purpose.

We then got home and went to sleep, as we had to wake up at 3AM to get off to the Hot Air Balloon Launch!

We ended up waking up at 3:30 and were out the door at 4 AM. We picked up April and began our journey.

We arrived just on time, just as April had predicted (Hazzah!)

They setup the balloons and began to lift off into the sky.
And as this was in fact an adventure, I had to don my great Pith Helmet.

We then headed to Yellowstone, where we spent the day gallivanting around, finding things that looked amazing, walking, and exploring.

I just love her.

Oh I think I also forgot to mention that previous to this, I fixed Bryttan's Glasses.

It was a wonderful Trip and I took tons of photos. I will post more at a later date. So many to go through.!
